Autopath-AutoTURN Integration FAQ
Important information for Autopath and Plateia Ultimate customers about the transition to AutoTURN.
Transoft Solutions is transitioning Autopath customers, including customers who access Autopath through Plateia Ultimate, to AutoTURN, our unified swept path solution.
As part of this transition, Autopath will enter maintenance mode and eventually retired in January 2028. This FAQ answers the questions most likely on your mind.
About This Transition
Transoft Solutions acquired CGS Labs with a clear long-term vision: to bring together the best of both organisations — technology, expertise, and domain knowledge — to provide more powerful and scalable solution. Consolidating our swept path products is a key part of delivering on that vision.
Integrating the two swept path solutions into one will provide you with the best and most comprehensive set of tools, while enabling us to stay focused on advancing the tools in a single product to help you overcome your design and checking challenges.
AutoTURN is Transoft’s flagship swept path analysis solution, used by transportation engineers, planners, and design professionals worldwide. It provides advanced vehicle swept path and design analysis within leading CAD environments including AutoCAD®, Civil 3D®, BricsCAD® and MicroStation®.
AutoTURN Pro, the premium version of AutoTURN, includes the full AutoTURN feature set plus additional capabilities such as access to Manufacturer-based Vehicle Libraries (MVL) as well as 3D simulation and visualisation features, making it the natural home for Autopath users transitioning to a unified platform.
If you are a current Autopath customer, this transition affects how and where you will access swept path tools going forward. The good news is that Transoft Solutions has designed this transition to be as smooth as possible:
- You will receive complimentary access to AutoTURN Pro for the remainder of your Autopath licence term.
- You will receive parallel access to both tools, so you can validate your workflows before fully switching.
- When your licence comes up for renewal in 2027, you will receive a special offer to convert to AutoTURN.
- Transoft’s support and customer success teams will be available throughout the transition to help you every step of the way.
Timeline and What’s Changing
Starting October 2026, we will kick off the transition plan by introducing key milestone phases. This phased approach is to make sure impacted customers are given sufficient notice to prepare for the transition, receive the resources needed to get familiar with AutoTURN, and feel fully ready to move over when it’s time. Here is a summary of the key dates:
- October 2026:
- AutoTURN becomes the only swept path solution available for new purchases.
- Free access to AutoTURN Pro for remainder of the Autopath license.
- AutoTURN adds new language support and enhancements that aim to make the transition easy for Autopath users.
- November-December 2026:
- AutoTURN adds compatibility updates, key Autopath capabilities including the export of CAD entities, dynamic steering reports, dynamic turning templates, and XML import for custom vehicles (TBC).
- This is the last planned Autopath release, which will include compatibility updates.
- January–December 2027:
- All Autopath renewals will be converted to AutoTURN.
- There will be no more updates for Autopath, but we assure continued usability and support on current CAD compatibility until the scheduled renewal date of existing Autopath licences. If you require new compatibility updates, we recommend migrating to AutoTURN sooner.
- January 2028:
- Autopath reaches End of Life and will no longer be supported by Transoft Solutions.
Our goal is to ensure AutoTURN reaches feature parity with Autopath before Autopath is retired. Our team is prioritising bringing key Autopath capabilities into AutoTURN, including:
- Additional language support including Slovenian, Croatian, Serbian, Hungarian, and Polish (TBC)
- Export of CAD entities
- Dynamic steering reports
- Dynamic turning template
- XML import for custom vehicles
- And more
Yes, the transition from Autopath to AutoTURN applies to all Autopath customers worldwide. Customers in all regions will follow the same timeline. Your account manager will be your primary point of contact and can address any region-specific questions.
Transoft will proactively communicate with all affected customers at each phase of the transition. In addition to direct communications from your account manager, the following resources will be made available:
- Autopath – AutoTURN Customer FAQ (this document, updated as needed)
- AutoTURN/Autopath Feature Comparison Grid
- AutoTURN Getting Started Guide and Videos

- User Portal Guide for Administrators
For urgent questions, please contact your account manager or our Tech Support team.
Your Licence and Pricing
If you hold an active Autopath licence, or a Plateia Ultimate licence that includes Autopath with valid subscription or Maintenance Assurance Program, we have designed a transition plan specifically for you:
- Complimentary AutoTURN access: You will receive access to AutoTURN Pro for the full remaining duration of your current Autopath licence at no additional cost.
- One year of complimentary on-demand training: You will receive a free one-year enrolment to AutoTURN on-demand training, giving you time to get familiar with AutoTURN at your own pace.
- Special migration offer in 2027: When your current term is up for renewal in 2027, you will receive a special migration offer to convert to AutoTURN.
Instructions for activating your AutoTURN access and on-demand training will be sent directly to you via email in September 2026.
At the time of your renewal in 2027, a special migration offer will be provided for your transition to AutoTURN.
Your account manager will contact you a few months before your renewal date with your offer. If you have questions about pricing ahead of that, please reach out to your account manager directly.
Starting October 2026, multi-year and short-term (30- and 90-day) Autopath renewals are no longer available. Only standard 1-year renewals are available.
From January 2027 onwards, all Autopath renewals will be offered to convert to AutoTURN subscriptions.
AutoTURN is available in two subscription licence types:
- User Subscription Licence (USL): A named user licence that allows one dedicated user to access AutoTURN from any supported workstation for the duration of the subscription term.
- Team Subscription Licence (TSL): A floating licence designed for teams. A seat is allocated to a user for a 24-hour period when they launch the software, then released automatically. Ideal for organisations with multiple users who don’t all need simultaneous access.
Your account manager can advise on which licence type best fits your organisation’s workflow and team size.
AutoTURN uses Transoft Solutions’ cloud-based licensing system, managed directly through the My Transoft Portal. Here is how it works:
- Your licence is stored in the cloud and verified when you launch AutoTURN.
- All your project data, vehicle libraries, and files remain stored locally on your workstation, nothing is stored in the cloud except your licence entitlement.
- You can view your licence status, download software, and manage users through the My Transoft Portal.
If you require assistance with initial setup and transition, please contact our Tech Support team at [email protected].
Starting January 2028, Autopath reaches End of Life. This means:
- Autopath will no longer receive technical support, compatibility updates, or bug fixes from Transoft Solutions.
- Any attempt to renew or extend an Autopath licence after this date will be declined.
- Conversion to AutoTURN will be offered at standard pricing.
All customers should ensure they have completed the migration to AutoTURN before January 2028. Your account manager will be in contact well before this date to ensure a smooth transition.
Features and Workflows
Our goal is to ensure AutoTURN reaches feature parity with Autopath before Autopath is retired. Our team is prioritising bringing key Autopath capabilities into AutoTURN, including:
- Additional language support
- Export of CAD entities
- Dynamic steering reports
- Dynamic turning template
- XML import for custom vehicles
- And more
As part of the transition plan, the Autopath standard vehicle content will be included in AutoTURN, so you will find familiar vehicles available in AutoTURN.
For custom vehicles you have built in Autopath, AutoTURN will support vehicle import via XML. Detailed instructions for exporting your custom vehicles from Autopath and importing them into AutoTURN will be made available.
AutoTURN works within the same CAD environments as Autopath (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BricsCAD, and MicroStation), so your existing CAD drawing files will continue to work as normal.
Your account manager or Tech Support can help if you have specific workflow concerns.
Yes. In fact, we strongly recommend this approach. From September 2026 to the remainder of your Autopath licence term, you will have parallel access to both Autopath and AutoTURN Pro. This is intentional as it gives you time to:
- Explore and learn AutoTURN at your own pace.
- Validate that your standard workflows can be replicated in AutoTURN.
- Complete any in-progress projects in Autopath before switching.
You are not required to switch immediately. However, Transoft recommends familiarising yourself with AutoTURN as early as possible so that the formal transition in 2027 is straightforward.
AutoTURN is compatible with all major CAD platforms supported by Autopath, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BrisCAD, and MicroStation. AutoTURN Compatibility Information can be found here.
If you use a specific CAD platform or version and have concerns about compatibility, please contact our Tech Support team before your transition date and the team can confirm compatibility or advise on any steps needed.
Access, Training and Getting Started
Instructions will be included in the email communication sent to you in September 2026. You will receive a link to the My Transoft Portal where you can:
- View your current licence information and download AutoTURN Pro.

Data, Files and Security
Only your licence entitlement is managed through the cloud via My Transoft Portal. All your project data, drawing files, custom vehicle files, and work outputs remain stored locally on your workstation. Nothing about where your project files are saved changes as part of this transition.
Transoft Solutions is committed to maintaining a secure cloud licensing system. A formal security risk management programme is in place to safeguard your data and ensure a safe online experience.
