Lesson 1

Insert points & create DTM

In this tutorial you will learn how to insert points in the drawing and how to create digital terrain model from input data. It is also shown how to edit additional DTM settings.

Efficient river alignment design

In this tutorial you will learn how to design a river alignment, sample lines and how to drape alignments to surface. There are three different methods for river alignment design.

Lesson 4

Designing Cross-sections

You will learn how to draw cross section views in the drawing and how to design cross sections of a channel with typical cross sections elements such as dykes, embankments, channel lining, etc. And how to edit typical cross section elements and how to label them.

Lesson 5

Quantity Take-off

You will learn how to define the planimetry polygon and add/edit materials. In the next step you will learn how to calculate the quantities by sections as well as how to create the summary for the whole area.

Lesson 6

Export and import to HEC-RAS

You will learn how to add levee and bank points in the Aquaterra and how to Export the geometry of the river which will be used in HEC-RAS for the hydraulic analysis. After the analysis, the results of the 1D flow will be imported back to Aquaterra.

Export and import to MIKE FLOOD

You will learn how to add levee and bank points in the Aquaterra and how to Export the geometry of the river which will be used in MIKE FLOOD for the hydraulic analysis. After the analysis, the results of the 1D and 2D flow will be imported back to Aquaterra.
