Institute of Transportation CIP from Belgrade, Serbia used CGS Labs software FERROVIA to design a state border railway line section Novi Sad – Subotica.

With around 450 expert employees the Institute of Transportation CIP (http://www.sicip.co.rs/en.html) from Belgrade, Serbia is one of the leading research and design companies in the region. Their main activities are the design of railway and road infrastructure, urban traffic systems, buildings, sports, and special-purpose facilities.

About the project

The railway line Belgrade-Subotica-State Border (Kelebia) constitutes the part of the railway line Belgrade-Budapest in the territory of the Republic of Serbia. The objective of modernization of the railway link Belgrade-Budapest is to form a modern double track railway line for passenger and freight transport and speed of up to 200 km/h in compliance with European standards for interoperability (TSI).

The length of the modernized railway line, from Belgrade Centre station to the state border with Hungary is about 183 km. The railway line is split into three characteristics sections: Belgrade Centre – Stara Pazova, 34,4 km, Stara Pazova – Novi Sad, 40,4 km and Novi Sad – Subotica – State Border (Kelebia), 108 km

CGS Labs software FERROVIA was used for the preliminary design and Feasibility Study on the project section of the railway: Novi Sad – Subotica – State border (Kelebia). FERROVIA was used to prepare preliminary railway designs as well as detailed designs and project documentation
